School finishes on Friday 21st July at 12.40pm when the school breaks up for the Summer Holidays. The day will also be a Mufti Day with £1 donations going to charity. The school will reopen for all students on Wednesday 6th September 2017. Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable break!

​Perkins Tennis Ball Launcher Competition with multi-armed trebuchet, a brilliant feat of engineering from Mr S Bradbury. Longest distance WINNERS for the second year in a row.

Mr Christey has praised pupils for their performance in the national Young Enterprise competition. Team Orbit from King Edward VI High School achieved third place and also won a special award for innovation at the event.
The team created the interactive book Columbii after being challenged to create a product and run a business as part of the Young Enterprise competition.
The team, including Ellie Wright, Niles Butler and Henry Lapworth, achieved victory in various rounds at county and regional level, to be one of the top 14 in the country chosen to go through to the national final.
Headteacher Mr Christey said: "We are incredibly proud of these amazing and talented young people.
"Ellie, Henry and Niles have worked very hard to get as far as they did and they have set a shining example to the rest of the school, for other young people to follow.
"They have shown to younger pupils what can be achieved with hard work and dedication and have had the opportunity to share their talent with the rest of the country. They all have very promising careers ahead of them. Well done! We are very proud of you all."
