Go4SchoolsGo4Schools is our parent information and communication system. It is used for tracking information about your child as well as receiving messages from school.

Guide for parentsHere at King Edward VI High School we use a system called Go4Schools to share information about your child's progress with you as parents and carers.
By logging in to this site, or by using the Go4Schools app, you can view your child's:
Your child’s page is automatically updated, providing you with the latest information. When a new grade or report is available we will contact you to let you know. To access the site you will need to use the email address you have given to the school and details of how to log in and use the service can be found in the Menu at the top of this page. You will also have access to this information via a mobile parent app as well. Additional help documents for the Mobile App are available to parents and more information can be found at http://www.go4schools.com/MobileApp.aspx. You may need to use your online account to view Interim and Annual Reports, rather than the app. If there are any problems at all about logging into the site or accessing your child’s report then please contact the School Office on 01785 258546. First-time instructions and a guide to using the service can be found below. Registering for the first timeTo request a password for Go4Schools, please click on the ‘First-time User’ link shown below.
First-time userThen enter your email address into the First-time User ‘Email address’ field and click ‘New password’. A randomised password will then be generated and sent to your email address.
Logging inYou will then be able to log into the site using your email and generated password then view your child’s page using the parent and guardian login page, shown below.
Parent home viewWhen you log in you will see names of your children that attend the school.
Clicking a child’s name will display the information held in Go4Schools about them. The top of the page give you these quick links.
This is a quick overview of your child’s current progress against their target grades for each subject. A value of zero indicates that your child is on target, a negative value indicates below target and a positive value indicates above target
HomeworkOngoing and recent homework tasks
All homework tasks set or due within the next 7 days. You can view all homework tasks by clicking the link shown in the yellow box. Homework full list view
This view displays all homework that has been set this academic year. Clicking on the blue homework task name will display the homework task set, including any web sites or documents. Documents can be opened or downloaded by clicking on the document name.
AttendanceAttendance Data
This information is always shown up to the previous day. Full attendance information, including weekly attendance figures, can be viewed by clicking the ‘view detailed attendance link’ shown in the yellow box. Detailed Attendance View
Current and all previous weekly attendance is displayed. Cumulative attendance per week displays a trend line showing any weekly changes in attendance across the year. Lesson attendance and changes in attendance across the current week are also displayed.
ProgressDetailed Progress
This table shows the current levels in each subject. All topics and assignments are listed here and updated marks will appear throughout the year. Where ‘View subject description’ links are available, you can click on the link to see more detailed information about the subject. Clicking the blue links, shown in the red box, enable you to view more information about that unit, assessment or topic. Behaviour Data
The first table shows any managed detentions issued to your child. You can click on the ‘Out of Class Incident’ link to view more information about the reason for the detention. The next table shows the last 5 events recorded for your child, but you can also view a full history for the current academic year by clicking on the ‘All events in…’ or ‘View full behaviour record’ link. The following charts show your child’s behaviour over time, the bar chart shows the weekly scores and the line graph shows the cumulative scores for the year. Progress Reports
This shows grades for your child as they were captured by reports and compares them against current grades. At the bottom of each report column you can access a report by clicking the ‘View report’ link. You can then also download and print copies of the reports which will be available for the whole of the year. TimetableDaily Timetable
You can click the ‘View full timetable’ link to view the full week timetable for your child. MessagingOnline Inbox
The online inbox provides access to all homework and behaviour related messages sent via Go4Schools about your child/children. The online inbox can be accessed by clicking on the link shown above. Clicking into either the ‘Homework or Behaviour’ link shown on the left will open and display the message. Communication Settings
By clicking on “My settings” it will allow you to set whether you receive email or mobile app notifications from Go4Schools, as well as show you the default setting the school has set. With the behaviour update emails you can set a frequency that differs from the schools default. |
